The CWL is a grassroots, parish-based organization that is the largest national organization of Catholic women in Canada. Our membership offers you opportunities to become involved at a regional, diocesan, provincial, national or even international level. The CWL was established in the 1920s and since the 1970s has met annually with all levels of government having a profound influence on public policy. Whether as a mother, a member of the workforce or public institutions or in a spiritual vocation, women have an indispensable role in assisting and shaping our parish, our country, and the world.
The St. Patrick’s CWL council is currently 70 members strong, and we are always welcoming new women, aged 18 and over. We have a General Council and an Executive Council with members active in various parish ministries and numerous charities. Membership dues are $35/year in support of CWL activities on a local, provincial, and national level. All women of the parish are invited to contact Yvette Lamberton at ylamberton@telus.net to join our council. We look forward to having you with us!
