From Gail Crimi, Sacramental Prep Coordinator:

Hello St. Patrick’s families,

Due to the current COVID-19 virus situation, and the fact that the WHO (World Health Organization) has now officially called this outbreak a Pandemic, the Confirmation class scheduled for this weekend is cancelled. As we do not know path and strength of this virus, Fr. Jerome has decided that to be safe we will ask parents to work from home with their children to catch up on the missed lessons of this weekend. I have attached  2 files with the work we ask you to complete and return to us at the next class on April 25. Please clearly mark your child’s full name on the assignment. I have also attached the most current directives from the Bishops office which include new practices for Mass. These links can be found below.

We continue to lift up your family in prayer.

“So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” – Matthew 6:34

“Now when the Apostles at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them.  The two went down and prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit (for as of yet the Spirit had not come upon any of them; they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus).  Then Peter and John laid their hands on them and they received the Holy Spirit.”  Acts 8:14-17

Our Diocese makes the following recommendations:

First Reconciliation and First Eucharist: Grade 2
Confirmation: Grade 6

If you are an adult seeking the Sacrament of Confirmation for yourself, please refer to our RCIA process.

The Catholic schools provide Religious and Family Life Education for your child and the parishes provide the Sacramental Preparation Program for your child.

There will be a Parent and Candidate Session to further explain the Sacramental Preparation Program and how you can continue to support your child’s faith development.

All sessions must be attended.

The diocese requires a supervision ratio of 2 adults/15 children. We will have over 400 children going through all the sacraments this year. We need your help. Please click here for more details.
