St. Patrick’s Brown Bagging for Calgary Kids SNACK DRIVE
Brown Bagging for Calgary Kids (BB4CK) is a registered Charitable Organization and partners with 220 Calgary schools to ensure healthy lunches are provided to over 4000 students who would otherwise go without. Lunch is provided to schools from Kindergarten to Grade 12. 58% of the schools are cared for and serviced by community groups like ours. Each day lunches and snacks are made and delivered by volunteers working the BB4CK’s downtown kitchen and in community kitchens across the city. Each lunch is expected to cost a maximum of $2/lunch but with the generosity of our parishioners we can reduce the cost even further.

St. Patrick’s is happy to take meaningful action to help in this endeavour. Over the weekend of December 14th and 15th we will be having a “Snack Drive” after all Masses. We are looking for the following items to make this a success:

President’s choice-rich and chewy Minis *
Natures Valley Lunch Box nut free *
Made Good Granola Bars or Granola Minis *
Kirkland Soft and Chewy Granola Bars *
Nutri Grain Bars *
Quaker Nut free Granola bars*

*ANY ITEM FROM THE LIST BUT NO CHOCOLATE DIPPED OR CHOCOLATE-COVERED PLEASE.

Sun-Maid Raisins
SunRype Fruit Source or Fruit to Go Bars
Gold Fish Crackers
PC Little Penguin Crackers
Bearpaw Soft Cookies
Dare Brand individually packed cookies
Beef Jerky

  • We will also accept Grocery Cards

We have to ensure our kitchen is 100% Nut-Free and be diligent in serving lunches that are nutritious, delicious and safe. So please watch out for Best Before Date and Expiration Dates which are not one and same. We have to work within the Alberta Food & Safety Guidelines.
